ABOUT BENTLEY :
BENTLEY MOTORS WAS FOUNDED BY W.O. BENTLEY IN 1919 WHEN THE FIRST BENTLEY ENGINE BURST INTO LIFE AT NEW STREET MEWS, LONDON.
From these modest beginnings, W.O’s company went from strength to strength through the 1920s, with an evolving series of acclaimed motor cars and a parade of racing triumphs to prove their outstanding performance. These laurels were capped with five outright victories at Le Mans between 1924 - 1930 and a sixth in 2003.
If we had mission statements in those days, it could not have been expressed more eloquently than in the words of W.O. himself, “To build a good car, a fast car, the best in class”.
These words are just as relevant today as they continue to inform our beliefs, actions and ambitions for the future. Located in Crewe, England since 1946 and owned since 1998 by Volkswagen AG, Bentley Motors is dedicated to making responsive and powerful Grand Tourers with the stamina to cross continents at pace, and drive in refined comfort and style.

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS :
Bentley Drivers Club
Bentleys are built to be driven. So it’s hardly surprising to learn that the largest and most famous group of Bentley enthusiasts is The Bentley Drivers Club. Appropriately enough, the first members were Bentley drivers attending a race at the legendary Brooklands track in Surrey in 1936, canvassed by a note placed under their windscreens by one G.K. Pelmore. The first meeting was over-subscribed; a bigger venue had to be found at the last minute.
Since then the Bentley Drivers Club has gone from strength to strength, with branches from Dallas to Tokyo and from Cape Town to Canberra. The Club organises a number of social and competitive events, and provides specialist services for owners of Cricklewood-, Derby- and Crewe-built Bentleys. The BDC is now the focus of a world-wide Federation of Bentley Clubs and welcomes new members.

Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club
The Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club -was formed in 1957 and welcomes enthusiastic new members. Bentley cars produced in Derby and Crewe from 1933 to the production cars of today are represented. Membership is in excess of 10,500 in 52 countries, with more than 3500 Bentleys in ownership. The Club has a justifiable reputation for friendliness and informality.
Thirty-nine geographical Sections, and eight model Registers organise events, including overseas tours. The Annual Rally with seventeen classes judged, is the largest Rolls-Royce and Bentley gathering in the world.

Rolls-Royce Owners Club
The Rolls-Royce Owners Club was established in the USA in 1951 and now has over 9,000 members. All Bentley model cars (and their owners!) are warmly welcomed into the club. The club offers practical, technical and historical information on Rolls-Royce and Bentley motorcars of all eras and all models.
The RROC helps members restore, maintain and repair their cars. They make the experience of owning a Derby or Crewe built motorcar all the more enjoyable.

AS A SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE MANUFACTURER, BENTLEY HAS A COMPREHENSIVE ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY TO MINIMISE IMPACT ON THE LOCAL AND GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT.
In the Making :
Our long-term course of action applies to all Bentley Associates working in the design, development, manufacture and sales of cars and automotive products. It is communicated to all Associates and interested parties.
The principles are to:
- Integrate environmental factors into business decisions
- Comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and codes of practice that relate to the company's activities
- Continually improve the environmental performance of the Crewe site
- Show a demonstrable commitment to pollution prevention
- Develop and maintain the Bentley environmental management system in-line with international standards
- Promote ownership and control of environmental issues at the appropriate business level
- Optimise and efficiently use resources whilst maximising re-use and recycling opportunities
As part of our effort, we have already introduced new manufacturing processes; reducing total energy consumption by almost 30 per cent in the past decade. CO2 emissions in the manufacturing process have declined by more than 20 per cent, and water use has fallen by more than a quarter. That environmental improvement was a significant achievement, since it coincided with record production and a ten fold sales growth to more than 10,000 cars annually.
The integration of environmental values into the Bentley vision and brand signals an evolutionary step in Bentley’s history. The entire company is embracing green technology while remaining true to W.O. Bentley’s simple ambition: to produce “a good car, a fast car, the best in its class”.
These improvements are now being augmented in the vehicles themselves with an environmental solution that is both technically advanced and practical.

Getting there by Road: (From the South)
Exit the M6 at junction 16 following the signs for Crewe and Nantwich A500. At the first roundabout take the second exit signposted Nantwich and Chester A500, follow this road over the 2nd and 3rd roundabout. At the 4th roundabout take the third exit signposted Chester and Wrexham A500, follow this road over the 5th roundabout. Then take the 4th exit at the next roundabout signposted Middlewich A530. At the 7th roundabout, take the first exit signposted Middlewich and Northwich A530. After approximately 0.7 miles (1 km) turn right into Pyms Lane. Bentley Motors is on the right after about 0.25 miles (400 m). The visitors car park is signposted to the left directly opposite the main entrance.
Getting there by Road: (From the North)
Follow the M6 Southbound, leaving at junction 18. Turn right onto the A54 towards Middlewich. In Middlewich turn left onto A530, signposted Nantwich A530 (Warning: Low Bridge, 11'6 (3.5 m). Continue on the A530 for approximately 6.2 miles (9.9 km), after passing Leighton Hospital on your left, continue for a further 0.5 miles (800 m). Turn left into Pyms Lane, Bentley Motors is on the right after approximately 0.25 miles (400 m). The visitors car park is signposted to the left directly opposite the main entrance.
Getting there by Rail
If you wish to travel to Crewe by rail there are frequent rail services from all major cities. From London, the trains run from Euston station, and are scheduled to take about 2 hours 15 minutes. For further information on train operators and times please phone National Rail Enquiries on 0845 7484950. Bentley Motors is approximately 15 minutes by road from Crewe Station.
Getting there by Air
The nearest airport is Manchester International, M56 junction 5. Flights to Manchester are available from many major airports worldwide, with frequent shuttle flights to and from the London airports. Bentley Motors is approximately 45 minutes by road from Manchester Airport. Helicopter landing facilities are available adjacent to the factory by prior arrangement with Bentley Motors.
