في يوم9/4/2012م قام طلاب الصف السابع والعاشر والثاني عشر برحلة الى جامعة السلطان قابوس للمشاركة في المعرض العلمي . وكانت الرحلة بإشراف الاستاذة ياسمين والاستاذة سميرة الغيلاني . وقد وصلت المجموعة في الساعة 10:30 صباحا الى الجامعة وتوجهوا الى قاعة المعارض الكبرى وقاموا بالمشاركة في فعاليات المعرض العلمي من خلال المشاركة في المسابقة الثقافية ضد المدارس الاخرى ثم قاموا بالتجول في المعرض وزيارة معارض الجماعات الكيميا والفيزياء والاحياء ومشاهدة تجاربهم . وقامت اذاعة سلطنة عمان بعمل مقابلة مع طلابنا.. في الساعة الرابعه بدء عرض التجارب لمسابقة المدارس . شاركت المدرسة بخمس تجارب يقدمها الطلاب.. اسراء الفارسي– علي الحمداني- سارة الكلباني – فاطمة البادي – رشا عماد - سالم الجساسي – عبير الجساسي – عايشة العثماني
وقامت المجموعة بشرح وعرض تجاربهم أمام طلاب الجامعة وقد جذبت التجارب اهتمام العديد من المشاهدين وزوار المعرض وكانت المجموعة في قمت حماسها للعرض والشرح مرارا وتكرارا . وانتهت رحلة الجامعة الساعة السادسة مساءاً وبنفوس فرحة وراضية بما قدمناه.
Omar Bin Al Khattab Private School Proudly Announces its Participation in the Sultan Qaboos University – Muscat “Science Festival”
April 9, 2012 selected students from Grade 7, 10, and 12 went on a trip to participate in the Science Festival of Sultan Qaboos University – Muscat. The group was supervised by Ms. Yasmin Punzal and Ms. Samira. Around 10:30 am, the group arrived at the University and immediately joined activities. The first activity the group joined was the Quiz Show. The Quiz Show was participated by 3 different schools. Esraa Salim Al Fasi, Abeer Abdullah Al Jasasi, Rasha Imad Abou Shakra, Fatma Hasan Al Badi and Sara Saif Al Kalbani represents our school and won the competition. During the Festival, the students enjoyed the University Science Exhibit showcasing interesting experiments in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Robotics, and Technology. While the group was enjoying the exhibit, three of our students Ali Abdul Latif Al Hamadani, Abeer Abdullah Al Jasasi and Esraa Salim Al Farsi were invited for an interview with the local radio channel. Then in the afternoon, the group presented their experiments. Five experiments were presented the Six Layer Density Column by Rasha Imad Abou Shakra and Fatma Hasan Al Badi; The Super Saturated Solution by Ali Abdul Latif Al Hamadani; Balancing Nails by Sara Saif Al Kalbani ;Deaf’s Bell – Esraa Salim Al Farsi and Salim Abdulla Al Jasasi; and Computer Powered Fan by Aisha Ahmed Osmeni . The group explained their experiments well both in English and Arabic and because of this they attracted a lot of attention and gathered a number of curious spectators. These audiences even take part in the experiments. As the day ends, the group still has the energy to eagerly and enthusiastically explain their experiments again and again. Our day is not enough to enjoy the festival, but the group left happy and fulfilled.
